Here is a testimonial from a recent participant: "I loved going to Jodi's Perimenopause Yoga, it shifted my world. It made me feel like "oh my god, there are other women going through what I'm going through!" It felt so supportive, and the yoga moves were so catered to my wellbeing and right after I'd finish spending that quality time with Jodi and the other women that were there—the talking that we would do, then the sharing, then the stretching, then the yoga, then sitting back and having a tea and just talking--I felt so much better. I felt more powerful in my body and I felt that my mental voice inside had calmed down because I felt supported personally, internally, and through a group setting. I highly recommend Jodi's Perimenopause Yoga. Fantastic!" ~ Rain Z. "I walked away with new tools for grounding and processing, making space for discomfort, practicing acceptance, and meeting myself where I was on any given day—as well as the most beautiful community of wise, inspiring, and loving friends who I greatly admire. It was such a relief to feel so understood and not have to explain in detail what I was experiencing; every story shared by others felt as though I'd written it myself. By the end of the series, the parts of me I'd been feeling ashamed of and resisting felt like they could safely surface, exist, and ultimately be released." ~ Lou D. “I didn't know just how much I needed this!Immediately with the first class I changed my relationship with my perimenopause journey. Before this series I had been approaching it through fear. I gathered information and tracked my symptoms clinically, not just because I love caring for my wellbeing and wanted to support myself, but because I was scared. I was trying to 'checklist' my way through it by doing all the 'right things' so I wouldn't get surprised and could feel more in control. This series opened me to a new way of experiencing this wild journey. The beautiful space held for the group, the stories and shares of the other women, the movement that aligns me so well to what my body and emotions need exactly at that moment. This series has been magic for me. I no longer move with fear, but have softened into an embrace and feel so much better because of it. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.” ~ Jen W. CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
