The International Students Office is hosting an information session to address some of the practical matters facing students who are planning to work in Montreal or anywhere else in Canada. We will look at: The proper documentation needed authorizing you to work on and off campus What resources are available to help you find work Obtaining your Social Insurance Number Filing taxes This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with Immigration Canada’s rules and regulations and have all your questions answered. This workshop is for Concordia University international students only.

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
