« Elle doit être tellement belle, la forêt qu'ils plantent avec nos crédits carbone. » Éternel locataire de la classe moyenne, Philippe n’a pas les fonds pour partir en vacances, mais il part. Coûte que coûte. Il s’installe avec quelques proches dans une villa italienne en Ligurie, décidé à préserver l’illusion. Inlassable numéro 1, sa fille Jacinthe est prise dans un jeu de désirs croisés avec deux prétendants : l’avocat Léo, pur produit de la société de performance, en amour avec la-compétition-d’être-en-amour-avec-l’idée-de-Jacinthe, et Guillaume, qui lit en terrasse Le boys club de Martine Delvaux, dans l’espoir d’attirer les demoiselles avides de validation. Tout autour, la valeur des relations fluctue, entre excès touristiques et coups de soleil. Plus les vacances avancent, plus le voyage dévoile ce qu’il était censé masquer : la peur du déclassement et la fragilité des liens quand tout repose sur la façade. Pendant ce temps, à Montréal, le comptable de tout ce beau monde, Frédéric, donne au loin un goût amer à leurs Aperol Spritz. Musica ! Comédie de mœurs contemporaine menée par l’imprévisible Louis-Karl Tremblay ( Quatre filles, Tout ça ), Voyage voyage s’inspire librement de La trilogie de la villégiature de Goldoni, née en 1761, considérée comme un roman théâtral en trois volets. Après sa relecture acclamée de la pièce de Balzac, Le faiseur , l’autrice Gabrielle Chapdelaine observe avec ironie une bourgeoisie aussi joviale qu'endettée, qui s’acharne à maintenir les apparences malgré une fatigue économique, affective et écologique. Comme quoi White Lotus n’a rien inventé! Le voyage, loin de libérer, devient le révélateur cruel de ce qui ne tient plus chez ces joyeux naufragés.

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
