The Lion's Den Open Mic

Come watch seasoned and amateur comedians try their best new material. The Burgundy Lion now has an official open mic following our regular weekly show. The open mic features various local comedians with occasional out of town visitors. Come enjoy a drink or a meal and watch a mix of comedy veterans and up-and-comers try their newest jokes. Entry is FREE TO ALL but RSVP your seats if you want a guaranteed seat! This is a sign-up and go up open mic. First come is first served (maximum 15 available performer spots). Sign up any time an hour before the show.

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
