The Earth We Carry

Exposition

*La version française suivra* In the Black Box and Main Space, The Earth We Carry brings together six Indigenous artists whose practices move across land, body, and technology, treating these not as separate spheres but as interconnected domains. We are made of earth, and we are makers of technology. We carry the earth within us and bear a responsibility for the technologies produced from its resources. Including work by Destiny Chescappio, Moe Clark, Kite, Amanda Lickers, Taylor McArthur, and Skawennati. The exhibition will be presented in the Black Box and Main Space until November 20.

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
