The Art of Play : An Intutive Painting Workshop

Événement

Join us for a cozy evening of painting, experimenting & letting go of perfectionism at Les Alchimistes Café! 💗 The Art of Play is all about enjoying the process of creating without worrying too much about how things turn out. We'll explore intuitive painting, play with colors, try new things & practice creating without constantly judging our work. Unlike a traditional sip & paint, there's no step-by-step tutorial or reference painting to follow. We'll start with little creative prompts to help you get going, then you're free to paint at your own pace. And if you ever feel stuck, there will be more prompts to inspire you! Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush or you've been painting for years, you're welcome here. Come meet new people, grab something to sip & spend two hours making art just for fun. < 3 ✷ event details 📅 Date: Wednesday, November 4, 2026 🕕 Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM 📍 Location: Les Alchimistes Café, Montréal 🎨 Materials: All painting supplies are included in your ticket. 💌 Who can join: Everyone is welcome! CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
