Prāṇa Dhyāna — Breath & Meditation

A 30-minute evening practice of breathwork and meditation to release the day, calm the mind and reconnect with stillness. Before you carry the whole day into your evening, put some of it down. Prāṇa Dhyāna is a simple 30-minute evening practice dedicated to two fundamental aspects of Yoga: Prāṇa — the breath and vital energy. Dhyāna — meditation and sustained inner awareness. There are no complicated postures and no need to be flexible. We sit. We breathe. We observe. And little by little, we allow the activity of the day to settle. Through traditional yogic breathing practices, guided awareness and meditation, each session creates a small transition between the busyness of your day and the quiet of your evening. Depending on the session, we may explore: Conscious breathing Prāṇāyāma Nāḍī Śodhana and other traditional breathing techniques Breath observation Mantra Guided meditation Silent meditation Short periods of complete stillness Why only 30 minutes? Because meditation does not need to become another thing you struggle to fit into your life. Thirty minutes is enough to arrive, regulate the breath, sit with yourself and begin developing something much more valuable than an occasional long meditation: consistency. Come after work. Come after a difficult day. Come when your mind is busy. You don't need to arrive peaceful. That's what the practice is for. No previous experience with meditation, Yoga or breathwork is required. Beginners are completely welcome. A small daily ritual. Breathe. Sit. Listen. Then go home carrying a little less noise with you. CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
