For the last night of the Beethoven Festival virtuoso pianists Philippe Cassard and Cédric Pescia present Beethoven’s ultimate symphonic masterpiece in a thrilling transcription for two pianos by Franz Liszt—a great admirer of Beethoven and like Beethoven a Romantic luminary. This concert is presented with support from the estate of Marie-Paule Laurans.

About this map

Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
