Meet & write (Graduate co-working group)

This training is offered by GradProSkills. It is only open to current graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Writing, research and other work can sometimes feel isolating, but you do not have to go through it alone. If you are looking for accountability and a structured approach to productivity, join the co-working group sessions led by GradProSkills. Each session follows a Pomodoro-style format designed to support focused work and accountability while fostering meaningful connections with peers with two or three 45-min focus periods with 15-min breaks in between each focus period. Throughout each session, you’ll benefit from dedicated and structured time to focus on writing or other academic tasks in a supportive environment. These sessions aim to help you build consistency, reduce isolation and create space for meaningful progress on your work. After participating in these co-working sessions, participants will be able to: Apply structured focused strategies to support sustained academic work and productivity Reflect on their writing goals and progress and explore strategies for overcoming setbacks in a supportive peer environment Develop more consistent and sustainable work habits and strategies through accountability and community connections

CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
