Living our Values: Experiments in Care and Cooperation

Événement

How do we create alternative ways of working and living together within a system that encourages division and disengagement? As it increasingly becomes necessary to compromise our values, the need to carve out places for imagination and co-creation increases tenfold. But how do we build and, more importantly, maintain these types of spaces of care and cooperation? Join us to hear about concrete examples of collectives that are creating spaces and approaches for new possibilities and experimentation from Food Cooperative CultivAction , Indigenous Support Workers Project (ISWP) , and Community Healing Days and discuss how we can widen the realm of what’s possible when we come together to create different futures. CULTURE MONTRÉAL EN CARTE

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

The site was originally designed for desktop use. A mobile interface is now available.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
