Nous vous convions à cette rencontre de quatre auteur·ices qui ont eu recours à l'écriture pour donner un sens aux diverses manifestations de la mort d'un·e proche. Maladie, accompagnement en fin de vie, mort subite, suicide, don d'organes et autres expériences traversent les histoires de deuil qu'abordent Nicholas Dawson, Sara Garneau, Gabriel Kunst et Arizona O'Neill, que ce soit par le journal intime, l'essai, la poésie ou le roman graphique. Les quatre auteur·ices s'entretiendront au sujet des écritures qui tentent de saisir les différents temps liés à la mort d'autrui.

About this map

Montréal has a rich cultural offering, but information is scattered across websites, social networks, noticeboards and posters. Getting an overview can be difficult. Montréal en culture aims to simplify discovery by bringing cultural activities together in all their variety. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.

A broad understanding of culture

The directory takes a broad view of culture: artistic creation, presentation, heritage, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for discovery or participation. It covers the Montréal urban agglomeration, including its associated islands. Its scope develops with the sources and activities recorded.
