Chinese Calligraphy: The Art of the Brush

**Discover the beauty and expression of Chinese calligraphy.** In this 2-hour workshop, professionally trained artist **Haiyin** will introduce you to the foundations of Chinese calligraphy and show you how to work with **brush, ink and traditional forms**. **You’ll learn:** * Essential brushstrokes and brush control * How Chinese characters are structured * Rhythm, balance and movement * Traditional calligraphy techniques * You’ll practice the foundations and create your own calligraphy piece with **personalized guidance and feedback**. **Beginners welcome. The project is also inspired, with some nostalgia, by the weekly calendar of the cultural magazine View, which featured a varied offering, from shows to talks and from popular events to more unconventional activities. Adding a map, Montréal en culture invites you to explore that richness across the city. Still a prototype, this independent project aims to become an essential reference for cultural outings in Montréal.
